After nearly a decade of installing synthetic turf in the Northern California area, the owner of STB can appreciate the need for a quality line of turfs that can be purchased and installed with relative ease. No longer is it necessary to purchase large rolls of turf that are hard to handle, or have a lot of stock left over, or be charged for cut rolls.

About our turfs

The construction of our turfs has a number of common elements that set us apart from any other turf supplier. One is that all STB turfs have a double layer of polypropylene backing for superior strength, minimizing shrinkage for many years to come. Two, all turfs have a solid 20 oz. of urethane coating, locking in the fibers tufted into the double layer backing. And three, the fibers are tufted at a 3/8 inch stitch gauge making our turfs the fullest and plushest in the market.

Our fibers are made from either polypropylene for our putting greens and some sports turfs, or polyethylene for our lawn and field turfs. We have selected these compositions because of their awesome look and feel, long durability and great UV protection properties. In fact, polypropylene and polyethylene are “inert”. Consequently, once the fibers are formed into their compositions, turf properties are maintained and do not degrade, resulting in fibers with an extremely long life unmatched by any nylon products.
